Therefore, by utilizing all technical and specialized skills in safety, health, environmental protection, and quality in equipment engineering and design — as well as the capabilities and competencies of our employees and managers, who are considered Farasakou’s main assets — we plan and manage any potential crises.
• Some of the measures taken in this area include the development of green spaces and equipping the port with pollution control equipment, such as absorbent pads and containment boom fences (Farasakou is among the few active companies that possess such equipment), along with firefighting equipment including foam systems, hydrants, and fire trucks. In addition, there is supervision of incoming ships to the port basin, ensuring they hold valid safety certificates such as Hull & Machinery and Protection & Indemnity.
